Message from the CEO

While I have been exposed to the wonderful culture of Japanese people supporting each other, I have also experienced prejudice that arises from the lack of opportunities to come into contact with different cultures.

Building on these experiences, I interned at NewsPicks during my first and second years of university, where I gained practical knowledge about the impact that information and the environment have on people's consciousness.

Through this study, I also realized that there is a difference in information between regions and individuals, which results in a state of "not knowing." I was able to focus on the process by which this ignorance, indifference, and unconsciousness leads to the formation of unfounded images, and prejudice leads to social problems.

As a resident Korean growing up in Japan under the name "Kin Kyung-ji," I have witnessed both the potential of Japan's wonderful culture and the reality of prejudice. I feel a strong desire to approach the difficult problem of prejudice.
